Something else to discard is doing crunches. Once you can do more than 20 of them in a row they are not providing any challenge to your abs. This means that they may provide a little tone, but they won’t help build the muscles. So if you’re looking for fast six-pack abs don’t waste your time with plain crunches. Advanced crunches can be useful – but again once you can do 20 you need to move on.
